It is Android app and I can not find an option how to cancel that.
Yes, completed lessons are automatically added to the Active Playlist, it can’t be disabled. However, you can always create custom Playlists and add content you want to them.
I found option: after completed lesson you can see “Remove from playlist” 
I am reading a lot and do not have possibilities to listen audio often.
