The Best Language Learning Sites and Content to Import Into LingQ

this is a persian language science channel, with closed captions in persian! the content is amazing, but they use conversational persian, so be careful

Of interest to Turkish learners: This website links you to the top 30 Turkish newspaper sites.

Animelon only imports the subtitles but no audio to go with it. Is there going to be a fix for this?

I’ll double check again with the devs - Some series should be fine, both audio and subs (Usagi Drop for example).

Have you tried https://anisub.tv/ ? LingQ can import both audio and subs from that site’s content.

I was talking with one of my language exchange partners, and I found some of the books from project gutenberg that have been edited as graded readers. For English learners, these might be good sources for people that want to read one of the books at project gutenberg, but for whom the original text is too difficult!

I just found a Turkish channel that has subtitles in all of their videos, which I’m suprised by because they only have 1.5 K subscribers. Their videos are mostly about travelling.

In german by far Terra x natur und geshicte Sternengold und der Hauch des Todes | Ganze Folge Terra X mit Dirk Steffens - YouTube

For Portuguese I found some good stuff:

Speaking Brazilian: https://www.speakingbrazilian.com/blog
Speaking Brazilian Language School - YouTube
She has a youtube channel all in Portuguese with the transcripts available on her blog. Great for high beginner low intermediate as she talks very slow and clear. Also you can get grammar explanations while practicing your listening comprehension at the same time

Impérios AD: Impérios AD - YouTube
I love this channel. It’s great if you are a massive history nerd like me.

These channels I also find entertaining to watch even though they are kind of directed at Brazilians learning English:

SmallAdvantages: SmallAdvantages - YouTube

Tim Explica: Tim Explica - YouTube

I will update this post if I find more.

For Mandarin: Fragrant Mandarin works very well for those who like travelling videos
Fragrant Mandarin 香橘子 - YouTube

i currently mostly watch a view youtube channels besides the guided courses on lingq , but once i reach a little higher level wanna get myself a subscribtion to a online library with my target language with audiobooks and the text to work with… but that is still a way ahead  10 minute travel vlogs with cc are quite enaugh for me at the moment for a full lesson ^^ reaching my daily goal…

but unrelated to this wanted to post a link to the gutenberg project , online library with copyrightfree books
with german / english / french / portuguese language options…
https://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page , those should be good to use for anyone and contains a lot of the classics … so hope this is helpfull for some
