Splitting lessons audio issue

When you upload a lesson with audio and text long enough to get split, the complete audio stays in the first lesson with no audio in the next part. This is quite frustrating. Could it please get fixed?

Im also finding that on this lesson the timestamps and texts get massively desynchronized partway through no matter how many times I regen timestamps. I suspect its a side effect of this issue (because a chunk of the audio’s corresponding text isnt in the lesson)

I find that it’s best to just use Audacity and split the audiofile manually - then copy the text that matches the audio into the lessons.

The problem is Im using chinese graded readers that are around 50-60 pages. Theres a couple chapter points where I could easily split the ebook in calibre using the epubsplit plugin, but Im not sure how to find those points in the hour+ long audiobooks without spending considerable time digging around in each one

You don’t need to split the ebook - copy and past the text of the section that you want to be a lesson, into the lesson manually.

If the audio “chapter” is that long, then yeah, that would be a bit of a challenge - no way around it.

Sometimes, after loading it in Audacity, you can zoom in enough to see significant spaces. If so, then you can look up, in the ebook, the initial text at the end of one of those spaces and see if that’s a good place to create an end/beginning of a section in the text.
