Well, I know it from my own experience. I have studied last 4 month Spanish from begginer every day at least 10 hour= 1200 hour. The truth is, I do undestand over 80% of movies, books and all those kina things, but I can not speak. Even if you have already 1000 hour 2000, or even 100000, your brain will need some time to make all this usefull. 1 year it can be achievable with an accent, but 3 month it is to short period:)
