If you click a button in the line titled “My Activities” on your profile page, a small window will appear, which shows the above options. I tried to change the setting, but it did not work. ( I checked it with Firefox, Safari, and IE. )
I just changed mine in Firefox and had no trouble.
The name of the button is not “Shame” but “Share.”
There is no tick in the box before the first option, but . . . .

I am not quite sure of your last comment. Can you still not change your settings?
The heading “Share your Activities” is followed by the two lines with their respective tick box. The first allows us to share [or not] our Activities here on LingQ. The other does the same for the ‘open’ part of our activities for Facebook and Twitter. This is how I understand the sharing aspect works.
Yours was perhaps simply a comment on the non-working technicalities, in which case please ignore this post…
