Like the current version of LingQ, I am completely failing to understand how formatting is supposed to work in imported lessons.
I’ve attached a screenshot giving an example.
The sentence beginning “CP: Les deux pays…” at the bottom of the text should begin on a new line.
Do I have to add a paragraph break, so every sentence is essentially a paragraph? I feel like there should be something in between “single sentences” and “wall of text”
How do I get “CP: Les deux pays…” to begin on a new line without creating a new paragraph? Or can you make editor WYSIWYG?
Also, is it possible to move the ‘Finish Lesson’ button on the web so that it’s not in the same place as 'Next page" ? Or perhaps give us a option so that unknown words aren’t automatically marked as known when we complete a lesson? It’s not clear on Chrome at least, that I’m on the last page of a lesson
I’ve brought this up as well and really this doesn’t seem to bother anyone developing LingQ and it’s a massive bummer. I’ve found several threads dating back years mentioning this same problem.
All feedback and comments on the beta must be entered in the current web update thread. The beta team are NOT responding to separate threads - only the primary.
Yeah, I think I’m done anyway. Even posting a comment on these forums from Android is an almost impossible task. There’s just too much junk and badly implemented ideas that I don’t see it ever being worth the subscription
Also, as it’s imposible to post attachments to replies, so that’s the only reason I created this thread. I thought it would have been helpful to have the screenshots, instead of Mark going back and forward with users trying to work out what the issue was, which is what happens in the main threads.
Anyway, LingQ know the issue but seem to prefer making it worse rather than better going by their current implementation
