Sentence Mode Translation Very Off

Hello, I noticed today that the automatic translation with ChatGPT in sentence mode is very off. Even more so, when I go to a new sentence, the translation, which was right beforehand, refreshes and reverts back to its poor state. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have the same problem. this week something changed in the suggested translations. The first suggested translation, especially the full sentence translations, are always wrong. If you hit the little refresh button a couple of times it usually fixes this, but this is very cumbersome. Please fix.

Also having the same problem. Full sentence translations are mostly wrong to varying degrees. Sometimes they are correct, sometimes moderately inaccurate, and other times they are entirely disconnected from the text. Because the initial translations can’t be trusted, I have to refresh them for each sentence.

Additionally, for me, the single word and phrase-level translations are also frequently wrong now - LingQ’s translation will be different (and less accurate) than Google Translate (which is also much faster).

Translations are sometimes imperfect given the nature of translating from one language to another, but these problems are LingQ’s problems.

Thanks everyone, we are looking into this.

Can confirm it. Actually I have seen the similar behaviour in Google Translate when you set the original text language wrong.Maybe has something with it.

@sammayblyum @joegladwell @iqflask @procion Thank you for bringing this to our attention! Could you please share links to the lessons where the issue occurs? It would help us investigate this further.

Here is an example

On the Japanese ministories, Instead of translating the sentence as “Dustin is excited for the winter break” it translates it as “Distin is acting childish during the winter break”

@procion @chases955 Thank you! We are working on fixing this.
