Request for Feedback for our User Interface Translations

We’ve been working to improve the quality of our user interface localization these past few months. If you use LingQ with any interface language other than English, we’d love to hear from you.

In particular we want to know how often you encounter the following:

  1. Missing translations for buttons or lines of text anywhere in the Reader, Library, or elsewhere in LingQ or even in any translated emails you may receive from us. This doesn’t include translations inside the lesson text themselves, only parts of the interface. If a translation is missing then the text will be written in English rather than in your interface language.

  2. Incorrect or unclear text. One example of this would be a line of text where the verb is incorrectly conjugated. Another example would be a button or option in a menu where the text doesn’t clearly tell you what clicking the button will do.

Any examples of the above would be greatly appreciated, and we will work on fixing them right away. Let us know if you’ve encountered any of these issues. This will help our users around the world learn more effectively and by giving us feedback here you can encourage the next generation of LingQers!

(If you have extensive feedback about a particular language or you want to send a number of screenshots you can always reach out to me at north@lingq.com)

Another one:
“Study Time”

“Changer” is also ugly. It should be Changement or Difference but not “To change”.

Bericht should be “melden” if this is supposed to be a report function to report lessons.

“Fehler melden” would probably be a bit more clear. I mean, you can report all kind of stuff:

Dear LingQ team, the weather today is sooooo nice.

All this feedback so far is great - Keep it coming! Anything you notice is appreciated, we are noting this all down and will address the issues raised one by one.
