I’m using the iOS app, iOS version 26.4, and playing videos from tagesschau, news in simple German. There is an issue with playback. I enter sentence mode, press the play button, the audio plays. I press it again, nothing. Next sentence, the same. Skip back a few sentences, and the audio won’t play. On one occasion the sentence audio wouldn’t play at all. It’s not quite a show stopper, but it gets in the way of learning.

It is fine now, perhaps it was an iPad glitch. There are issues with sound, sometimes the sound disappears or goes weird, and the app has to be restarted. I believe LingQ is not at fault, as I’ve seen that with podcasts too.
I’m still on iOS 26.3.1 and see the same problem of no sound in sentence mode. At first it’s ok, but quickly goes wrong. There’s a spinning circle on the video playback panel as if the correct place cannot be found. This for Vietnamese if it makes any difference on a video imported from YT.
To provide a little more contex: The video I am currently trying to view is a set of 20 brief conversations. Typically I want to jump into the middle of this to test myself on a random conversation in sentence mode. Maybe I am not accessing sentence mode correctly, but far from obvious as to what I might be doing wrong or what is the correct way to do this.
The specific sound problem is this: if I swipe right in sentence mode then the new sentence audio plays once automatically. But I am unable to play the same audio any more with either the play or tortoise buttons.
This issue will be fixed in app version 6.0.9 which will be available soon.
