Problem with Importing content

hey, is anyone else having a problem uploading content? I can upload the text that I want, but everything I try to upload the corresponding audio, it gives me an error. Can someone tell me what the problem is? Thanks

Hi doveign,

We are having a problem uploading audio since we moved to our new server. We are trying to figure out what the problem is and hope to fix it as soon as possible. Sorry about that.

hi, I don’t know if you have solved the problem, but I have tried to upload an audio file to a text I previously uploaded. I have no problem.
Have you noticed that posts in any thread, at least the new ones, on the forum are not written? Even if 1, 2, or 3 people have written something, it is said 0 posts.

OK, i guess i’ll try again, i deleted all of my other imported content because it said the file was too large :S

It might not work if you try again Doveign :frowning: I don’t know what to say but it worked fine and no longer work now thus it seems to occur at random. I have just try to upload a content. That do not work if I add the audio file. It is written Error 413, the entity is too large!

I know it’s not too large because the file is only a few minutes long. So I guess we’ll just have to wait until they say it works.

The audio file upload should be fixed now.

It works! Thanks Henry.

Also, Marianne, the issue you mention about the number of posts in the thread has been fixed. The numbers are now displayed correctly. Thanks for letting us know.

I should also mention that the number of posts is working but the numbers will only show correctly the next time a post is made to each forum.

whew, now i can start studying french and spanish again

doveign and others,

I wonder if you could share with other members which sources you find useful for Spanish and French. What contents are you importing? I think others would be interested. Please comment on the Content Forum if possible.

personally, i just use audiobooks. I import each chapter, and take the audio portion and increase the speed by 20% to get used to it. Next, i’m going to raise the pitch of the audio file as well. I think that will make it easier when people speak at normal speed.

that is great doveign. I do the same for Russian and Portuguese. Although I do not change the speed of the audio.

What are your sources for Spanish and French audio and text. Which publishers, which web sites ?

If there is interest I will spell out here the publishers that I have been using for Russian and Portuguese, although I have done so before.

for french i use http://www.litteratureaudio.com/
and for spanish i use leerescuchando.com

I have already read “La Mare au Diable” by Sand, and i’m reading Marianela by Galdós.

Many thanks. I have posted this in the content forum as well.

Help! I have not been able to learn a single word in Italian because I cann’t dowload anything. I ope to get some help before Igive up. Thanks. Ossie.

Hi Ossie,

How are you trying to download? Are you clicking on the Download Audio link in the WorkDesk? Or are you saying you aren’t able to select any content in the Store? Have you watched the Demo videos in the Store and in the WorkDesk?
