I have some points I was rewarded with for hosting conversations. Can somehow exchange these points for LingQ subscriptions so I don’t have to use my own money or perhaps I can exchange these points for $ - that would also work for me because then I’d just pay for the subscription as I normally do each month.

Sure, you can use your exchange points to upgrade to Premium. 8000 exchange points for 6 Month, or 16000 exchange points for 12 Month membership.
You can also change your points for money once when you have 10000 points on your account.

I currently have only 2500 points, is that why I can’t see the option to exchange points for money/subscription?

That option doesn’t exist on site, but once when you have enough points to purchase Premium or to cash it out, just send us an email and we will do that for you.
