I am studying Spanish and have imported many videos from YouTube successfully. Recently I imported some videos, while the text is in Spanish, LingQ is using a generated voice to speak English instead of the original Spanish of the video on YouTube.
You might double check the video on youtube–youtube has been adding generated audio tracks in other languages to some videos. See if that video has a generated English track that lingq might have imported.
If so… actually, I do not know what the solution is for that. I would be interested, if anyone knows a way to fix that.
You can expand the little video window, go to settings in YouTube, and switch the audio track back to Spanish manually. It’s annoying, but it takes care of the issue. Generally if I do that once the rest of the videos from the same source will play in Spanish as they are supposed to, for that session. The next day I’ll usually have to switch it back manually to Spanish audio again.
The support team was made aware of the issue weeks ago, and the fix is taking quite a while to be implemented.
