I see, the LingQ team cannot read this thread because the notifications do not work.

Can you please send us a screenshots of your issue to support email. I am unable to reproduce any of problems mentioned here related to Notifications.
Everything looks fine but it does nothing. When I click a thread notification it just changes the colour but does not open the thread.
When it is a notification about liked lesson, then I can see a new tab where it tries to open any lesson but it throws the message: "There was an error opening this lesson. We have been notified and will investigate this issue. You will be redirected to the home page where you can try opening another lesson. "
I am pretty sure my screenshots will look exactly as yours. Please check the behaviour.
I tried it in different browsers. As we can see from the comments above, it happens not only for me.
Only likes of forum posts work fine, other types of notifications don’t.
