Now that 5.0 is on the horizon, it’s clear from the forums that a lot of users really want to see an improved LingQ.
There’s been a lot of feature requests, with some being accepted, rejected or just completely ignored.
There’s been posts going back years regarding the ‘Complete lesson’ button being in the same place as the 'Next page; button, meaning that it’s easy to mark lessons as complete and have all unknown vocabulary marked as ‘Known’, which is then impossible to reverse. I have done this many times with the beta, and the only fix is to delete the language and start over.
Are there any plans to move this button?
Further, are there any plans to provide information on planned features, how long these are expected to take, as well as reasons for features that have been rejected? Some collaboration here would be a good thing as a lot of returning users are still seeing that reasonable feature requests from years back have still not been implemented and they’re not sure why.
Despite initially being keen on the new interface, and specifically the iOS beta, I am now more likely to just let my monthly membership run down and come back in 6 months to see what’s improved.
