Release notes for 5.2.22 (322)
Idk what happened in this latest build but dictionaries seem to just not work across the board. Dictionaries cannot be reordered, dictionaries can’t be added, when added they just take over as the only dictionary. This wasn’t a problem before and the change notes above do not initially indicate to me dictionaries were touched which makes me thoroughly confused.
This also happens to me. In the beta app (321+) the dictionaries don’t seem to be working right.
When query a word, the screen is flashing: the dictionary window first pop up, then it moved down to another place. It is a bit flashing. Following is a small video:
I have 2 android devices: a tablet(Eink) and an Android phone.
My android tablet was installed the lingQ v4and working fine. But since yesterday. after I installed the lingQ v5 5.2.22(322) in my Android phone, the LingQ v4 on my tablet the “My Lessons” become empty. (I am not sure if the issue “My Lessons” empty was causing by installing the latest lingQv5 in my phone.). Anyway, I have to install the lingQ v5 on the tablet too. The lingQ v5 in my tablet working fine except this flashing issue when querying a word. Is it possible to fix this flashing issue?
When I open the app for the first time for the day, achievement towards daily goal takes forever to update (to zero), or won’t update at all unless I switch to a different language or do something else in the UI. This problem has persisted through beta releases.
As a new bug in this release, if I switch the language before the daily achievement has been updated, the UI will switch back to the first language on its own.
Also, I’m still not getting announcements for achieving the daily goal.
Device: Oneplus 8T.
I have the same problem with Jkrogers9862.kr. Local dictionaries don’t work, automatically reset to default immediately, dictionary order don’t work. Besides, my lifetime premium membership for French language does not work, I could not use sentence mode to translate and could not import anything on Android device.
Dictionaries are working for me at least in 321, which is why I backed up to that version until the new release.
After updating from 5.19 to 5.21 or 5.22, I can no longer see any translations. When I select and click on a word or a selection of words, instead of a translation window, a “go premium now” pop-up appears. This is a bug, right? It still works fine when I downgrade to 5.19.
There is another issue I found in Eink device:

In lingQv4 the background of the translation is white and words in black; it is clear to read. I think Eink user would appreciate if this issue can be fixed in v5.
I encountered the issue using Android 5.2.22 (322). My guess is it’s a synchronization issue.
Yesterday I convinced myself I had maintained my streak – 14 coins done, 13 coins required.
When I opened the app today I was greeted with the notice that yesterday I broke my streak – “14/13 coins”. I took a screen shot. There were also email messages from yesterday evening warning me my streak was going to end and then today that my streak had ended.
My statistics page on beta.lingq.com says that yesterday (Jan 7) I got zero learned words and created zero Lingqs and earned zero coins.
So my recollection and the “14/13 coins” broken-streak message say I did some stuff yesterday (Jan 7) but my statistics on the web site say I did zilch, and my streak is broken. My guess is that the Android client and server didn’t successfully synchronize.
My messages are being ignored. Nonetheless I will post a follow-up. I’m still using 322 because App Tester says that’s the most recent version (despite other people being on 326). Yesterday my most recent steak was broken. The message today: “Your 13 day steak was broken. 23/13 coins” That is, the app recognized that I did more than my defined daily commitment but my steak still got broken. This is the second time this has happened.
