My known words count randomly jumped to 400+ in Russian both today and yesterday. I wish I learned this many words but sadly I don’t believe it to be true. Is there a reason for this?

Most probably you have Paging moves to known option enabled under the settings. With that option enabled, each time you page all blue words are moved to Known automatically.
You can disable it under Settings > Reader.
Also, keep in mind that once you complete a lesson, all your blue words are moved to Known automatically too.

I’m not sure. I’ve been marking blue words as lingqs for as long as I’ve been using the app and i’ve been using the same setting with other languages and this doesn’t happen. Only been the past 2 days

I still have a mismatch of one between the known word count in the statistics and the displayed known word count on the top right. Both cannot be correct. I had reported that quite a while ago but it’s still there.
@sammayblyum Please check under Settings > Reader and make sure to disable paging moves to known.
@B.Oliver What’s the mismatch? What number do you see on both places?
As per today: 52716 on top, but 52717 below - both as known word count (Bekannte Wörter).
[Screenshot in German - strangely I cannot use English Settings any more. I can select them but the interface language directly jumps back to German. Other languages seem to work as interface language, but not English]
