There is an inconsistency with the grammar on this mini story.
Part A has a line which reads:
Hij kostte de helft van wat de andere kostten, en daarom kocht hij hem.
But the equivalent line in Part B reads:
Hij kostte ongeveer de helft van de wat de andere kostten, en daarom kochten ze hem.
And likewise the relevant question reads:
Zeven: Hij kostte ongeveer de helft van de wat de andere kostten, en daarom kochten ze hem.
I’m fairly certain that Part A is correct and the other parts are incorrect. There should not be a “de” before “wat.” The audio recording also does not say “de wat” but rather just “wat.” Even if I’m wrong and there should be a “de” there, it is inconsistent with Part A and the audio recording.
