Meanings order cannot be adjusted anymore (regression?)

Meanings order cannot be adjusted anymore (regression?)

Hi everyone,

I’ve run into an issue with how meanings are handled in LingQ, and I’m wondering if others are experiencing the same.

Previously, there was a workaround that allowed some control over the order of meanings. If you added multiple meanings (e.g. a translation + example sentences), you could:

  • delete one of the entries

  • re-add it from the suggestions/history

This would effectively reorder the list, so you could keep the main translation at the top and the examples below.

However, this no longer seems to work.

Now the order appears to be fixed based on the original creation sequence. Even after deleting and re-adding entries, example sentences often end up above the actual translation, which makes the entry quite confusing.

For those of us who use LingQ in a more structured way (e.g. lemma + examples), this is quite a problem.

So my questions:

  • Is this a known change or a bug?

  • Has anyone found a workaround to control the order of meanings?

  • How do you organize translations vs. examples efficiently?

Would really appreciate any tips or confirmation that I’m not the only one running into this.

Thanks!

I asked our team to look into this. Thanks for reporting.

Hello @nirpf Do you use web site or mobile app? And could you please add a screenshot, it would help to reproduce the issue.
