Loading Issues with LingQ on Desktop Browser

I have recently noticed a problem with the LingQ browser version.

When I open a lesson, it takes much longer to load than it did before. I have to wait for a while before the page displays normally. Initially, it appears as shown in Picture 1.

The problem is even more noticeable when I open the Edit Sentence page. It takes even longer to load, and the page appears as shown in Picture 2 while it is loading. I have to click the previous or next page button before the Edit Sentence page displays correctly.

The loading time has become noticeably longer recently. It makes the browser version of LingQ much more difficult to use.

Could you please look into this issue and see if it can be resolved?

Thanks for reporting. What browser are you using?

I’m using Google Chrome Version 151.0.7922.76 (Official Build) (64-bit).

I’ve also noticed that this issue is more likely to occur when I’m using Japanese lessons. It rarely happens with English lessons.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if you need any additional details.

Last time I checked I couldn’t set up new threads.

I’ve been mentally comparing the app and the browswer.
App: can play slow text which is great.

Minus: switching languages is awkward; again, no shortcut.
Minus: the wor count (well, less-uerful coins) isn’t displayed so it’s hard to tell when you reach your goal.

Browser: can use shortcuts and therefore set up methods to play the target language and then show the translation. Also great.

If the app could use shortcuts, it would be the best option. Until then, I’ll use the browser.

@Misago Thank you. I asked our team to look into this.
