lingQing in Japanese adds previous comma

When I try to create a lingq in Japanese, the lingQ system often tries to force any previous comma or period to be part of the lingQ word. This usually happens when there is a compound I am trying to lingQ that is made of 2 separate words like 週 末 for “week end”. Can I force the sytem to ignore the previous punctuation marks and not include them in the llingQ word?

Unfortunately, there is much you can do to prevent this? Does this happen after you click the “hide spaces” link? If so, showing spaces again may prevent some of the punctuation and strange characters from being grabbed.
