would just first like to say what a good job overall you guys have done with Lingq! However with the new revamped site I have come across one issue.
It is that the voice icon for a lingq does not play the sound. It acts as if it is loading/streaming the voice file but never plays it. This happens on both my IE9 and Chrome. I have a 64 bit PC. I dont really care so much about IE but chrome is my main browser. It worked ok before the update. I have the latest version of chrome.
Hi, Firefox 15 and IE 64bit don´t work on my Apple-iMac. Luckily, Apple provides the Safari Browser which works without any problem (as far as I can judge it until now).
I am very thrilled by the new LingQ 2.0. The best LingQ ever. Launching a new complex computer software always requires some patience. This is nothing unusual.
So we have to have some patience; it´s worth it!
Tried IE still doesn’t work for me. Its weird because before the update it stopped working on my firefox browser so I switched over to Chrome and it was fine. I have a strong feeling the button links to Google Translate’s voice function. Maybe the problem is partly down to google and the transfer of its voice function through LingQ as it works independently on another tab.
Like Lothar says it can all get very complicated so I am more than happy to wait and see what happens since I am noticing the site getting more and more responsive as the day passes. As long as they are aware of the problem I am happy :).
We are still working on the Text To Speech issue. We hope to have it resolved before too long. Thanks for your patience on this! We will get it working on all browsers.
I’m not getting any sound either for the text to speech. Running Firefox 12.
As well, highlighting words and getting the pop-up when moving the mouse over a word either doesn’t work at all or works very sluggishly. No learning tonight
I tried using safari but no luck. The sound doesn’t work through the Google Translate dictionary icon either yet the sound from yellowbridge (a chinese dictionary) does and always has.
