When i double click on a known word to get the meaning the text sometimes shoots back to the beginning. It’s verry annoying.
Sorry for the trouble! Can you reproduce this consistently? If so, I wonder if you would be able to make a screencast of this. I can’t quite figure out what would be causing this, so I wonder if it’s something related to how you’re doing this. You can make a screencast using a program like Jing (Screen Capture Software | Snagit | TechSmith). This would be very helpful in better understanding exactly what’s going on here.
the problems seem to be over today. i will let you know if it comes back.
OK, sounds good.
I have the same problem consistently. Quick ling q off. when manually selecting a yellow word with the mouse, and looking up the word in a dictionary, the screen shoots back to the start of the text. There is no auto scrolling (which also is an issue perhaps) when quick lingqs are off, so it’s neccessary to manually scan the text to return back to the right point.
Here is a screencast of the error. The first word (level 4) works ok, but the second (level 1) sets the text to the start as stated. http://www.screencast.com/t/YKv9CiWv
Thanks so much for the screencast! I have two suggestions:
- It looks like you have an extension active that tells you the definition of words that you hover over. Try turning this off and see if it helps
- If that doesn’t do anything, try moving the dictionary popup a bit up and see if that helps. By this I mean clicking and holding on the blue bar at the top and moving the dictionary, not resizing from the bottom.
Let me know if either of these solve the problem!
