In the text for 吾輩は猫である。there is often hiragana written in brackets next to kanji. For example…

This is a little annoying when adding words to my LingQ because I can’t select 捕まえて only 捕.
Also, is there any way for me to edit my LingQ word? Such as having 捕まえる as the word instead of 捕 or 捕まえて?

I can understand how the hiragana in brackets would be annoying. Up until now we haven’t really had any rules regarding the upload of Japanese. We have just let people upload it however they want. However, now that you have pointed this out we will ask the content provider to remove this Hiragana and we will suggest the same to others if we come across it.
Right now there is no way to edit links. We hope to have this functionality soon. In the meantime, you can go to the Vocabulary page and create a LingQ for any word you want to learn.
