The users would have figured out most of the corrections themselves except for 我 每日 都 喺 度 重复 咁 样 做 着 同样 慨 事情。from lessons 3. So my question is whether it the worth making such corrections. Gosh, I just messed up with clicking on the mouse buttons, and this is my second attempt at making the post. It’s tedious for me or anyone else to work in multiple windows, keep track of the changes, and make a post like this. A feature similar to Wiki would be great for reporting errors and greater collaboration among users. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you for doing this, it is very much appreciated. I believe the transcripts were just collaboratively created by LingQ users who were learners themselves, so it is not surprising that you found some issues.
The mini stories are of course very sensitive and enjoy special protection, so only “Chief librarians” and LingQ staff can edit them - I have pinged the relevant person to take a look.

I agree that LingQ doesn’t make this kind of editing easy (this is probably because the transcript is assumed to be accurate in the first place). If you wanted to edit regular lessons (not by LingQ itself), it would be easier, because you should be able to edit a sentence (under the three dots) in sentence mode.
For the mini stories, maybe you can try the “print page” feature and just create a copy in a text editor, which could be shared with LingQ. Although, this feature got little broken some time ago, there are now spaces between the characters.

I will probably make a copy in a text editor and make changes with strike-through and bold types for text to be deleted and added. I should do it on a per-lesson basis to track things down quickly. Sending them by email is a great suggestion. By the way, do I have to watch out for spacing within the text? Thanks for the help.

LingQ runs a word segmentation program or tokenizer over everything that gets uploaded in the Chinese languages or Japanese. The algorithm will insert spaces around what it believes to be words. My guess is that the software in question is called ‘结巴’, you can find it here if you’re interested: GitHub - fxsjy/jieba: 结巴中文分词
So, I don’t believe it makes much of a difference. Editing spaces only really works after uploading because the tokenizer has already been run.
