Hello @zoran
I haven’t received any messages from LingQ Exchange since three days now, so I’m not aware that any learners would like us to correct their texts (particularly in French),is it intentional, is it definitive?
I will check this with our team and get back to you. I believe that introduction of Lynx chat bot is replacing the Writing Exchange.
I haven’t received any messages either in Japanese, so I went directly to “Writing Exchange → All Languages → Japanese” and there was a request.
Thank you @BlueBird14 for noticing the problem. I checked after reading your post.
Hello @zoran, any updates on this? I still don’t receive notification emails, so I have to keep checking it myself.
I hope Writing Exchange will co-exist with Lynx, because humans give better corrections and explanations than AI at this time.
Thank you.
“humans give better corrections and explanations than AI at this time.”
I beg to differ!
Not on the English writing exchange here.
The corrections in English are mostly dismal.
The only writing exchange corrections worth paying attention to are BlueBird14’s - which are excellent.
So whilst you cannot rely on the quality of English corrections, you certainly can rely on the quality of the French corrections - thanks to BlueBird14
@AtsukoK We won’t be making any updates related to writing exchange, since we do have in plans to have it completely replaced by Lynx soon.
@zoran : I hope it won’t be a huge mistake, but it’s up to you. It’s true that in general the corrections offered in “writing exchange” are rather lamentable, but this is not always the case. Personally, I always offer professional corrections in French, with clarifications in vocabulary and grammar, and perhaps some competent teachers do the same in other languages. I hope Lynx will be at the right level. I will test it in French and Ukrainian, we will see if it is competent.
@ AtsukoK
Understood, thanks for your response.
Outside of LingQ, I do grammar exercises in Ukrainian and ask ChatGPT for the answers. When I get a questionable response, I follow up with more questions. Sometimes ChatGPT changes its answer or gives me an incorrect explanation. I know this because I check with my Ukrainian tutor.
In Japanese, I often notice very subtle mistakes, and I try to explain why I would use a different expression in that particular writing style for example, though only in a non-professional capacity.
Personally, I was thinking of starting to write in French and Ukrainian, for the reliability and the human touch. Too bad it’s going away.
