Lingq audio doesn't work for my language --- idea for improvement

I’m learning Hebrew, and I don’t know about other languages, but the AI voice that reads the audio mispronounces words so much that I can’t actually tell what word it’s going for. This is mainly a problem when dealing with vocabulary review. When I try to use notecards, I hear the bad AI reading, and I have no idea what the word is. It’s too bad, because vocabulary review would otherwise be a really great way to learn.

Instead of having AI read the word, why not just use the audio from the original video that I uploaded?

Sorry to hear that. What browser are you using?

Chrome. I don’t think it’s an audio quality though, I think the voice doesn’t know which vowels and consonants to use because vowels are not written in Hebrew, and different sounds can be written with the same consonants. I notice the errors are usually related to vowels or to these commonly mixed-up consonants. The same letters can represent two different words with two different pronunciations, you just have to know which word it is from context. Kind of like the English word “Lead,” as in “I’ll lead the meeting” versus “The pipes are made out of lead.” Happens waaaaay more in Hebrew.

@istrauss6 Thanks for the feedback. We will look into this and see what can be done.
