LingQ 6.0.0 - so many bugs

I’m using the latest version of Android LingQ (version 6.0.3 and there are no Play Store updates available) and I’m still experiencing a good amount of bugs.

Opening up LingQ just now and trying it, I have already encountered the following bugs:

  • In Lynx, I can’t mark a blue word as Known. It simply doesn’t record it and the word returns to blue later on upon refreshing (eg. after you press the translate button, the sub-phrases button, close the chat and reopen it, type a new response, etc.). +1 Known Word is not added to the statistics either indicating that the initial marking of a Known Word probably never truly adds it to the list of Known Words.
  • In Lynx, I can’t make phrases.
  • In Lynx, there is some issue with the TTS. When trying to practise my Russian, it sometimes uses the offline Russian TTS or even an English TTS instead of the online Russian TTS to pronounce the Russian words. Obviously in my lesson settings, I have web voices turned on.
  • In Lynx, it stops asking me questions in its responses. It just ‘kills’ the conversation. Lynx is for practising writing, as far as I’m aware, so it should lead the conversation by asking a question in every single response. I can’t stress this enough.
  • In Lynx, when I click on a topic to discuss, it just asks me the exact, same question every time. Eg. I just created four new chats by clicking on the topic of business and all of them asked me the exact, same question - “Which business would you like to open and why?” (in Russian obviously). It’s the same for the other topics too. For instance, the question for sport is “What type of sport do you like most and why?” (in Russian obviously).
  • In Lynx, it occassionally answers that there are some problems and try again later.

Another bug:

  • the ‘tap to page’ function in the reader bugs out and stops working sometimes. The only way to get it to work again is to close the lesson and reopen it again, but then it bugs out again. I’m not sure the conditions which cause it, but it happens very often that I managed to trigger it half a dozen times in less than ten minutes.
