Let us correct transcription errors on the spot when viewing YouTube videos

Problem:

if you notice a transcription error when viewing a video (see the screenshot below), you cannot correct it on the spot because there is no action to modify the sentence.

Request:

Add a sentence edit action in the [+] menu:

Edit:

Iā€™m 90% sure the ā€œmodify the sentenceā€ action was missing from the upper right menu - see screenshot below - when I posted this message.

This happens regularly; Iā€™m 99% certain of that.

Update: (same sentence as in the previous post)

  1. if I edit the sentence in page mode first,
  2. then the option becomes available in sentence mode (see screenshot below)

Hello @alainravet1 Could you please help me to find a permanent steps to reproduce this issue? I imported new YouTube video, opened it, opened Sentence view - and the ā€˜Edit sentenceā€™ option is available. Do you have different steps? Is your version 6.1.24 (625)? Thank you in advance.

@irynalingq2025 it seems to work fine now; I can no longer reproduce the error as illustrated by the last 2 screenshots above.

Marking this problem as solved. Iā€™ll keep an eye on it.
