I am using the latest iOS app version of Lingq: v5.6.4 (0), although I started noticing this issue in the previous version: I add lessons to a playlist in the browser app, but they are not added to the same list in the iOS app.
Observed issue: added lessons to a playlist one at a time, I see them in the playlist in the browser, but they don’t appear in the playlist on iOS. I make sure the list is refreshed in iOS. Still not there. I do other things to try to make them show up like switch playlists in iOS or kill the app and restart. Still not there.
Today as I investigated the issue for this post, I deleted some lessons in the browser app and then the new ones I added finally showed up in iOS.
I think what’s happening is that my lesson is not even being added to the playlist in the browser. I currently have 47 lessons in my playlist. I imported a new lesson. I see the lesson listed in my lessons. I hover over the ellipses to add or remove the lesson from my playlist. Currently it shows it’s in my playlist “1”. But looking at that playlist in both the browser and iOS apps, it’s not there. I have tried removing it from the playlist and adding it again. I have tried adding it to the playlist using the iOS app. Still no success.
I finally gave up and added it to a new playlist. That, at least, worked.
The more I use the new playlist I created and add things to it, the more convinced I am about a problem I have seen before: adding individual lessons to a playlist bumps into some limitation for the number of tracks: around 48 I’d say.
I have not seen that limitation if I just add a course to the playlist.
