Kana only Japanese

Is there some way to use only kana in the fill-in-the-blank review questions? I have elected not to learn kanji for the time being, and I am using only hiragana and katakana. When I try to answer a fill-in-the-blank question using only kana (or even romaji), it always says my answer is incorrect. It seems the only way to get a correct answer is to fill in the correct kanji.

Sorry, but that’s not possible at the moment. You’ll need to go with Kanji.

You would be limiting yourself so much avoiding kanji. Almost all of the content has it.
