Is there a way to creat a phrase?

Creating phrases does not always work, I highlight the words but nothing happens. Sometimes it works in one part of the sentence, but not another part. Not sure if this is a bug or what. The other thing I just ran into after importing a YouTube, is that the phrase is divided across two sentences, so it cannot be created. In this case the sentence break down was not accurate. For example I found this with “se dio cuenta .” Meaning something like “To realize”, or “He realized that” So my primary question then is, I would like to manually create the phrase in my LongQ’s, but I do not see a way to add it. Is there a way to manually add a phrase? Thank you

Sometimes that happens if there is a line feed in between, which is often the case with subtitles. You can’t create a phrase LingQ with a line feed in it, nor if it spans pages.

You can create them manually by importing vocabulary through the import function at Lessons>>Library or Lessons>>Vocabulary. You can put them in there a phrase at a time or import a csv file.

In the past I have copied and pasted the phrases to a txt file and later create a lesson with a phrases and vocab in there to lingQ. I do this mostly with my notes from lessons with tutors or things I encounter outside of lingQ, but it works for the occasional phrase I can’t lingQ for some reason as well.

Ah ok, thank you for your help.
