iOS app on iPad: why is it resetting itself?

I am reading a lesson on my iPad Pro — 159 gb still available on the ssd with total 12 gb ram. So why is it that after a few minutes checking some Russian words in Safari and wiki Слово, the Lingq iOS app feels the need to reset itself and go back to the home screen?

Also this forum app has the annoying habit of telling me the draft is being edited in another window, when it is not.

Sorry to hear that. LingQ should not be resetting back to the home screen after only a few minutes of switching to Safari or another app, and the forum draft warning also sounds like a separate issue.

For the iPad app issue, please send us:

  • your iPad model
  • your iPadOS version
  • your LingQ app version
  • a short screen recording showing the app returning to the home screen after switching back from Safari or wiki Слово

Please also try these quick checks first:

  • fully close LingQ and reopen it
  • make sure the app is updated to the latest version
  • restart the iPad
  • if the issue continues, reinstall the app and test again

For the forum draft warning, please also let us know:

  • which browser you are using
  • whether it also happens in a private/incognito window
  • whether you are using any browser extensions or a VPN

If possible, please include a screenshot of that draft warning message too.

Once we have those details, we can investigate both issues further.
