Importing Netflix Shows with Audio

Which gives a better result: importing the audio file and letting LingQ and whatever AI it has make the text for me - or - importing the subtitles from netflix and then uploading the audio to the course separately? I’m thinking the latter will have more accurate text (unless Netflix just lets an AI do its subtitles without any proofing these days). I am currently studying Korean/Japanese/Chinese if it matters.

In theory if I upload the audio and let LingQ make the text then there will time stamps so if everything works (kind of iffy) then I can read while I listen easily.

Both options should be fine, whatever is easier for you.

I tested it. I’m definitely going to import the Netflix subs when they’re available and just use Whisper when they’re not. Whisper does “ok” I think… it’s good enough that you can use it but it drops some lines and makes some mistakes.
