Importing Greek only Text. LingQ confusing the translated English

What LingQ is getting wrong:

κόκκινο = red, not orange

μήλο = apple, not cookie

Is this just a glitch for today?

Is that your imported lesson and auto-generated translation?

Hi Zoran

The Greek is generated and imported (pasted) from CHAT GPT. then if I go to Sentence View and click onto each word, Linq translates perfectly. However, when I click the full sentence translation LingQ starts to hallucinate and transposes incorrect words in English translation. So Red Apple in Greek gets translated to Pink Cookie in English which is infuriating. I am assuming the AI Engine in LingQ is the problem here

Thanks for working on this

The Greek translating hobgoblin has gone completely insane. Alzheimer’s perhaps? It seems to remember random words but most of the time it just makes up any old thing. When I ask deepl or chatgpt what “σύνδρομο καταδίωξης” means, they agree it means a persecution complex. The Lingq hobgoblin suggests it means “a combination of descent” :rofl:! ανακριτής can mean several things - along the lines of interrogation officer, investigative magistrate, etc. The hobgoblin suggests “doctor”. Even the extremely common “κρίμα” (that’s a pity) is… a crime. The Greek for “dad” (μπαμπά) is beard supposedly

Something is clearly wrong with Lingq after update. There are already several threads where users complain about translation errors in sentence mode.

Pressing the “refresh translation” button can help sometimes .

Yes, it has gone mad. I haven’t noticed errors in my previous imports. I think it’s just in the recent ones. Hopefully LingQ wiill sort it out as it is very frustrating for me as a new Greek learner.
