In the Import page (before Uploading), my passage appears like this.
A
B
A
B
A
B
Looks neat and easy to read and follow.
But, when the lesson is created (Uploaded), it finally becomes …
A
B
A
B
A
B
The gap between B and A is cancelled out! I think this comes from automatic gap-cancelling system or something.
How can I avoid this? It didn’t make a difference how many times I hit enter key furiously .
I just tried this and the spacing seems to be working fine. Can you give me the link to the lesson that you are using? Just send the URL at the bottom of the lesson (that ends in /buy/) to LingQ Support and I’ll take a look at what might be going on.
i don’t know whether my experience is similar to yours:
In order to for the linesand gaps to stay together/apart, I have to press Shift+Enter, for the lines to stay together and normal enter for a paragraph.
LingQ does contain a feature to ignore multiple spaces, since this is in most cases not ideal for lessons. However, as SanneT suggests, it’s best to use Shift+Enter to go to the next line and Enter to go to the next paragraph.
In any case, I’ve now touched up the formatting so it should look nice
