Hello,
I have recently found an e-book and audio version of a novel in German. I also have the e-book in English. from the same place I have successfully uploaded the German e-book and it divided perfectly into chapters. I have attached the audio file for each chapter / lesson. But - I don’t know what to do with my English e-book to have it load as the translation for the chapters/lessons. I suppose I can cut-and-paste but the upload and split was so easy. for the German version. Is there anything else I can do?
It’s really not worth the hassle trying to upload the translation. It’s actually more practical to read the translated version either on a separate device, such as a Kindle that you have in front of you, or on a separate browser widow or separate app on the same device as your LingQ. I used to do this all the time, having LingQ open in a browser, and having the Kindle app open in a separate window, with the two windows sized to fit next to each other.
The same is true for the audio, meaning it’s better to have it play on a separate MP3 player than trying to match the audio segments to the automatically separated lesson texts.
Unfortunately not, it’s not possible to automatically split translation too and add it into appropriate chapters in German version. You have to manually cut and past English version to make it match each part in German.
