I’ve been trying to create a lesson with attached audio, cutting pasting the text into the webpage. It’s a little long, (45 minutes or so) but otherwise ordinary.
I just get a “your learning content is being generarted message.” but it never completes.
ok, so after half an hour and one failed attempt (where it said it failed and I had to delete) it seemed to work. I copied the text from word to notepad and removed any formatting, I don’t know if this causes problems with lingq’s import. It still took a very long time though.
update, I’m still having problems, this time with just regenerating lessons from text. I get a lot of time being spent regenerating lesson, and then later often just red text saying “regenerating lesson failed.”
I’m NOT doing anything special, just trying to replace the text of the lesson with something more updated.
28 - 神殿 の 料理人 見習い. Is the latest lesson I’m trying to regenerate. I’ve been trying to update the chapter of the audio book with the actual text from the book rather the one that the AI generated (since there are alot of errors in the transcription). I have the text for the chapter, but it’s a bit long to include in a post. I’ve been able to regenerate some of the chapters, but it’s just hit or miss if it’s succesfull. Sometimes after 3 or 4 trys it works.
Hello @DankBaker We use external service to align audio and text, and for it to work properly the audio should match the text exactly. If there are some differences, the lesson generation may fail. I checked, for example, if there is missed sentence - lesson generation will fail. I suppose if there will be some missing words - it could fail also.
Thanks, in the case where it fails, can you just default to not having it need to be synced rather then just not have the lesson? It’s often out of sync anyway but I’m used to finding what I’m reading.
@DankBaker in case lesson failed, you can create a lesson without the audio file, and add it after that. In this case, there will be no alignment with the text, but audio will be present in the lesson.
