I'm getting this message "Error: duration: Audio duration should not exceed 1 hour 30 minutes"

Im getting this message when from a video I am trying to import from Youtube. The video length is 51 seconds over the limit. Is there anything I can do?

Unfortunately, not. You can’t import videos that are longer that 90 minutes. Doesn’t matter if it’s only 50 seconds longer or less.

I got the same thing for a few documentaries I tried to import from YouTube. Sometimes you can find versions that are chopped up into shorter parts which each have their own video.

If anyone finds a work around please let me know.

Can you just download the subtitles and import them as an ebook? You could then play the actual video in another tab.

I extracted the subtitles from the YouTube video but there is a bunch of code mixed in. Usually I would then import the file into this website. It usually gets rid of the code for me without a problem. But it’s not working. :frowning:

That is the one I would have recommended, but what I would do is use that site to convert from VTT to SRT. SRT cannot have any of that markup that sites like YouTube and Netflix use in their VTTs.

One thing I don’t understand is that a Youtube video can import 1h30’ audio? But instead if we import audio only is 60’? Am I wrong? If not, why this difference?
