How to switch from one-time payments (for 6 or 12 months) to monthly direct debiting of my credit card?

Last year I’ve paid for a one-year membership which will expire in a few days. As I can’t afford paying the whole amount for one year (or half a year) with a single transfer this time, I’d like to change to the monthly payment method via my credit card (or Paypal). The problem is, that there is no “choose” button for the Basic membership (only for the more expensive ones or the free account).
What can I do now in order to extend my membership without having to wait for the expiring date and getting all my lingqs deleted (and thus all my work I put in during the years of my membership)?

Actually, downgrading to Free doesn’t delete all your LingQs or statistics, though you will have to remove your private lessons if you have more than five and you’ll lose access to the premium features.

What we can do is manually downgrade your account to Free, have you upgrade back to Basic using the monthly plan, then give you a credit for the remaining days left in your current membership to be deducted from your membership fee for next month. Let me know if you’d like me to go ahead and downgrade your account.

Thanks for your response! I’d like to renew my Basic membership now, so it would be nice if you could downgrade my account within the next 3 hours (if possible without getting lost my imported lessons, I hope you’ve found a solution to do so). I’ll execute the payment shortly afterwards. Thanks!

OK, I’ve now downgraded your account and preserved your imported lessons, so you should be good to go!

Thanks a lot! I’ve just upgraded my account to Basic (monthly payment with my credit card).

Sure thing, glad to help  Let me know if you need anything else.
