How should I understand this sentence

Could you tell me how should I understand this sentence:“like many foreigners I have hair on my arms. Not a lot compared to most Canadians.”
Not a lot compared to most Canadians, it is mean:compared to most Canadians, the things which have hair on my arms is not a lot?
I want to know the thing which have hair on my arms is very lot or very few?
Thank you very much

Here, “not a lot” refers to the number of hairs. Another way of saying it would be:

I do not have a lot of hair on my arms compared to most Canadians.
