How is the word value measured?

A (late) Happy New Year to all of you.
I was wondering how a word get’s it’s value. I am learning several languages here and I realized that it takes more time to reach my daily goal with certain languages. So I had a look and I found that in two of my languages every word seems to have the value of 1 coin.
In other languages there are also many words with the value 3 and 4. How does a words get a higher value? Is it based on frequency?

Happy New Year!

In fully supported languages (eg Italian, French) the most “important” words have these higher coin values of up to 4, I think. Seems to be based on straight up frequency, and meant as an encouragement for slow, inexperienced beginners.

This is not the case for BETA languages (eg Catalan, Ukrainian), where we are free from this feature and all the words just have an importance of 1.

importance x status = coins

known word = status 5

Supported language - most frequent words
4 x 5 = 20 coins
BETA language - any word
1 x 5 = 5 coins
