How can I repair my streak?

@strana Sure, but keep in mind that I can fix streak only if there is a maximum of 1 day break.

Hello, Zoran. Thank you for helping me in the past. I was trying to do my Russian on Lingq today and saw I lost my streak. When I clicked on the button to repair it, I received a message saying “the streak is not broken” or something like that. When I clicked out of the box, my streak was reset to zero and I could not receive the option to fix my streak. Could you please help me with this? I would appreciate your help with this. Thanks for your time

Can you please repair my streak? I lost it on Wednesday while I was camping and didn’t have internet access for more than a full day. Thanks!

@zoran Hi, could I also ask for a streak repair? I’ve been on vacation and repaired my streak a few days in a row but Today LingQ didn’t let me do the repair. I tried on my phone but didn’t offer the option there either :frowning:

It is interesting that I need to “repair my streak” to maintain my knowledge of the German language. Does that mean if I only “repair my streak” my knowledge of German will advance over time with the minimum of study?

Of course this is a silly question. People do not forget to do their language learning. They have multiple reason be that family, illness, work but to name a few. Personally I would remove this “feature” and instead welcome people back with a gentle reminder that a few minutes study when possible is better than nothing. For me it is normally keeping things fresh and watching German TV, listening to German radio of reading German text/book.

LingQ, instead of asking people if they wish to repair their streak could instead ask the user if they undertook any other activities that added to their learning and the number of hours this took.

Hi Zoran,
I would kindly request a manual repair of my Norwegian streak, due to some connection issues.
I gained 5000 coins today but it does not seem to recognize it for the purpose of repair.
Thank you kindly.

Hi, Is it possible to get my Hebrew Streak Repaired? I had connectivity issues and couldn’t get to it until after midnight. It says I don’t have the required number of coins but I would like to keep it. I will do as much as I can to get the coins today but I’m not sure I can make it there since I don’t know how many I need

The concept of “fixing” a lot streak after missing a day or so of study is IMHO a waste of time. Why you may ask. I, like many, paid with “coins” gained or whatever they are called to fix this broken streak. However, I have over time realised that despite “fixing” this broken streak I am no further forward in my learning, but it made me feel good. I feel streak fixing is utilised to keep users engaged, and guilty at the same time, to me it feels a bit like a drug supplier handing out free drugs to find new customers.

Hi, I finished my lesson on the train yesterday, but the network quality was very poor. When I returned to the main page, a popup notification informed me that I had lost my streak. Unfortunately, I am unable to resolve this issue myself. Could you please assist me in restoring my 800+ day streak? Thank you.
