Hello. This is my first time posting here. I’m sorry to repeat what so many others are saying. A few days ago, I “lost” my streak in Russian. I make it a point to Lingq every day, but I thought “no big deal, I probably forgot” and paid the 5000 coins to fix my streak. Then it dawned on me that, because I use Lingq on mobile, my personal laptop, and my work desktop, my progress didn’t carry over. Yesterday, the same thing happened: I “lost” my streak. I have a few questions:
Can my streak please be repaired? I don’t remember the exact number of my streak, but I’ve calculated it to around 760–about 6 months after I started my Lingq studies in Italian.
Is there something you suggest so that my progress doesn’t get lost in between my logins across different devices? It’s a little inconvenient to have one device say I met my daily Lingq goal and for another to say I did not because my progress didn’t carry over.
Sorry for the long message and I’d appreciate any help you can give me.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your help. I was off my streak number by a large margin, and I apologize.
As for the issues with progress, sometimes the app seems to lag quite a bit on my phone. For reference, I’m using a Samsung Galaxy S24+ in the US.
Instead of using the app, I use the website on my Chromebook, and this one also lags. I’ve often thought it was the quality if the wifi in my area, but the same problem persists when I take my Chromebook on a trip. Also, my Android phone is fairly new (about 5 weeks), so I think that maybe that can be ruled out.
Hello! I have just lost my streak yesterday. And today I worked quite a lot to obtain 5000 coins. However, I can’t save my streak. Could you please help me on this? @zoran
Why does everyone want to repair their streaks? Isn’t this a kind of self-deception? Or does this have some kind of meaning that I haven’t figured out yet?
You fixed another streak, but you didn’t answer my question. So again: What is the benefit of having a streak repaired? Are there special rewards for particularly long streaks that I don’t know about? Points for example or whatever?
It only tells you how long you’ve maintained the streak if you actually have maintained it. If you have disrupted it, repairing the streak means denying the disruption.
Hi. The software thinks I lost my streak, but also shows that I didn’t? Today it says a 1-day streak, but the history also has the colored fire icon for both today and yesterday (and earlier). I think it was a time zone issue. Yesterday the number was in the upper 500’s. Is this possible to fix?
No. Same goal as always. What happened was my account was set to the wrong time zone last night, so LingQ briefly thought I had reached the following day (which would’ve been today). I didn’t notice this and started studying and acquired a 1-day streak which surprised me. I then changed my time zone to the correct time zone and continued studying. The streak then showed the correct value (585 I think), so I thought it was fine. However, today when I woke up it had reset on its own.
