Is it possible to pay for a “gift subscription” on LingQ for another member not of my household? Sort of as a surprise? A friend of mine is a free member and I’d like to surprise her with an upgrade!

Sure, but it might be best to do this in the form of a 6-month membership so that you don’t have to worry about recurring payments. 6-month memberships can be purchased here: Login - LingQ. Just put your friend’s username in the “Username” field and we’ll apply the membership to their account.
