Can we have Den Dansk ordbog as a pop up dictionary please.
Den Dansk Ordbog online is not in english but when you really want to check the defintion of a particular Danish word it is really useful.
You can easily use a browser based translate tool to read the definitions.
It is also very useful in other ways. For example if I want to check the tenses of a word it is very fast to get this information from Den Dansk Ordbog.
For example with the verb stille
near the top of the defintion it has Bøjning -r, -de, -t
which tell you the suffix r is the present tence, de is the simple past , and t is the past particle.
You can not select Den Danske Ordbog — ordnet.dk as a dictionary from the manage section. Den Danske ordbog is useful as I mentioned and it does not have limmits on usage.
No you do not appear to be understand me at all.The dictionary that I am talking about is not a generic Danish dictionary. It is a specific dictionary. For example the Cambridge english dictionary and the Oxford english dictionary are both English dictionaries but they are distinct from one another. Den Danske Ordbog available at Ordnet.dk is a specific danish dictionary in the danish language and it is not available in the available dictionary on ling Q as far as I know. It is good if you want to get verb tenses and such very quickly. It is goo d for tricky words because you can always read the description of definitions of any words with any of the freely available language plug ins for most browsers.
@scottmartin1 As I’ve mentioned above, that dictionary is already available for Danish>Danish combination at LingQ. It was added years ago. Please take another look.
