What I have to say it partly complaint/suggestion and partly my asking for help/clarification as I’m kind of new to LingQ, so I don’t know all the bells and whistles.
It seems when I go to review flashcards, it’s making me review all words rather than only unknown words. I don’t need to review words I’ve checkmarked as known because I already know them. Is there a way to only review the words I’ve clicked on but did not mark? And on that note, it seems I have to scroll through the various pages of vocab and click review for individual sets of vocab. Is there not a way to review all unknown vocab at once or, better yet, all unknown words that are “due to be reviewed” in the context of spaced-repetition? Also, it seems I’m forced to select an “activity” under the “study sentence” section of the review settings, but I don’t really want to do that.
I’d much prefer a flashcards system akin to that of Migaku. Is there a way to duplicate as much as possible their system by tinkering with the LingQ settings? And by that, I mean on the front of the card, I’d ideally have the target word, word audio, context sentence in which the word was first seen, as well as sentence audio (with word definition and sentence translation on the back of the card). Is there no way to include (or generate) sentence audio? And is there no way to review a batch of all “due” cards for exclusively unknown words like I mentioned in my previous paragraph? By the way, I mean no offense when I bring up a platform competitor (Migaku). I’m using LingQ primarily because it supports such a wide range of languages that other platforms don’t, and LingQ certainly has a lot of great aspects, so I don’t mean to come across as though I were disparaging your wonderful platform, but in my humble opinion, Migaku wins when it comes to flashcards.
