Fix the Playlists

Please for the love of God fix the playlists, whats the Point of having a playlist for audio if it aways saves the moment you stopped listening to the audio even when you fully completed listening to it? why cant it reset to the biggening after you are done with the audio? why does it outo skips audios that you have finished listening before?

Also the shuffle option aways repeats the same audios all the time.

I hate spending time complaining but i also hate spending money on broken services,

It seems that many times playlist playback ends at the last seconds of each lesson. When running the playlist again, the software does not reset each audio track to the beginning, just plays the last seconds of the lesson, and therefore effectively skips an evergrowing number of lessons of the playlist. The only way to to reset the entire playlist is to browse backwards with the Previous lesson the entire playlist. The problem occurs with various versions of Android.

Hello @r4e Thank you for detailed explanation. Could you please help me some more. I listened to the playlist and started it again - and all lessons are played from the beginning, so I may miss something. Do you listen it on the playlist page or in the karaoke mode?

I have iphone and saw this thread after coming here to raise a similar issue. Playlist is broken. It always stops after first episode played and often crashes completely. Turning screen off often makes it crash as well. As someone who prefers to listen this makes the app a waste of money. Can this please be fixed its so annoying?

I listen to the playlist in sequential order, and just use the Play button at the top. It seems that some sound tracks are just a couple of seconds shorter than what is shown. Thus when the playlist comes to such a “previously almost completed played” lesson, it will attempt to “continue” from such a “current” play position, and play the renaining one or couple of seconds empty and then move on to the next session. However, the previous lesson is again left to its very last seconds, i.e. not completed to the end if the sound track, and it will never be played properly again in the list unless the audio play position is manually moved (within the lesson), or, I use the Prev button to browse the list, letting each lesson play couple of seconds and then hit Prev again which seems to reset the unfortunate cases one by one.

The attached picture shows lesson 1705 as left by earlier playlist plays into an “almost ended” state that causes the above erroneous behavior unless I manually reset the situation. For a long playlist like the course shown, this erroneous behavior is not immediately obvious. But, after multiple plays, some lessons are more prone to this.

If you are not able to find the root cause, an easy fix would be to just check if the current play position of the next lesson in the playlist is within e.g. 15 seconds of the end of the audio track, and, commence such cases from the beginning, instead of the current near-end play position.

@r4e I was checking the Android app, that’s why I couldn’t catch it! Thank you for the screenshot, now I see that it is the WEB site in the browser on the Android, and I was able to reproduce it. We will have it fixed. Thank you for your help!

Hello @rpwyqs7hmc just to clarify, are you using iOS app? Or the website in the browser on iOS?

Hi I am using the ios app. The problem is when I try to play from the playlist. It’s really buggy and always stops after first episode. Often when I then try to manually start second episode it just stops working at all.

Hello @rpwyqs7hmc it is working for me. Maybe it is related to the lesson in the playlist. Is it video lesson or audio? On Wifi, mobile internet or maybe offline?

i second this. Its always been like this and the issue is that when you are trying to listen to stuff over again it will just keep skipping and playing the last few seconds of a track. Its not the end of the world but its annoying.

I think it happens more with imported material. For example Buena Gente episodes. It seems very buggy to me and bordering on useable.

Sentence mode is playing up now as well. Voice stuttering on playback. For the price I am paying I would at least expect an app that is useable.

@rpwyqs7hmc I checked two courses ‘Buena Gente’ and still couldn’t catch the issue, unfortunately. Could you please add a screenshot on the page where it stops working?

I am having the same issue with the playlists on Mac computer and in the app on iPhone. The playing just gets stuck on certain songs / audio files. The songs that start at zero are fine and play, but then some songs come up in the playlist with the play cursor at the end and nothing happens. Stuck. I have tried resetting all songs to zero manually but that does not fix the playlist stoppage.
