I have started my own collection and will continue adding lessons to it. My lessons are short and read in a natural speed. I write about random topics that come to my mind, so if you have any special topic that you’d like to read something about, just let me know and I’ll try to make a lesson matching your interests.
I think, my lessons are fine to get to know more vocabulary up from beginner’s 2 level.
I aim for short lessons of about only one minute, so you’ll be able to squeeze them in, even if you’re not that motivated or very busy.
I’d be happy to have some readers (and listeners).

These are excellent. I just listened to two of them since I am busy with something else right now, but I will do the whole series, and download them to take with me. They will be part of my listening program (together with other content form our library) which will get me ready for my one night and day in Berlin on my way to Riga and Russia.
I particularly recommend these to intermediate learners. The subject matter and the length make them idea for working on pronunciation and basic sentence structure. They can be listened to many times I believe. Thank you very much.
Now that we have a Notes page, and the video section, don’t hesitate to use them. Notes could be explanatory notes about the subject, German culture and society or language usage.The video could be something relevant from youtube or even a video that you can create providing more detail.

Übrigens hatte ich heute Probleme: da ich einige optionale Felder (wie Video z.B.) nicht ausgefüllt hatte, wollte das System meine Lektion nicht annehmen.
Du kommst also aus Leipzig?
Weißt du, bei uns wird oft behauptet, die Germanistik-Studenten hier in England sollten ihr Auslandsjahr lieber in einer Stadt der ehemaligen DDR machen - denn angeblich sollen die meisten Leute dort (anders als in den Bundesländern des ehemaligen ‘West-Germany’) nicht allgemein in der Lage sein, gutes Englisch zu sprechen. Während der DDR-Zeit musste man ja Russisch anstatt Englisch in der Schule!
Dein Englisch ist aber ausgezeichnet!

Naja, die DDR gibt es schon seit über 20 Jahren nicht mehr. Also alle, die jünger als 35 sind, hatten in der Schule auch Englisch.
Ich komme ursprünglich aber aus dem Westen… aber ich könnte nicht behaupten, dass meine “Ossi-Freunde” schlechter als ich Englisch sprechen.
Ja, die jüngere Leute in den neuen Bundesländern können bestimmt auch sehr gutes Englisch.
Ich habe aber vor ein paar Jahren einen Kerl aus Leipzig kennengelernt, der so gut wie kein Wort Englisch konnte! (Er war aber nicht jünger als 35…)
