From the Library screen, clicking on the coins area x/50 , please make the next screen give words read TODAY, not the pointless 7 day summary. Better to also give it at the top of the library screen; I think I’ve seen this on a tablet version. Words read and whether I’ve made my daily target are the most important statistics (more than streak if I had to choose). COins themselves only matter if I gain my target.
I’d like these to fit on a mobile phone:
Number of words read today. [Icon / tick for daily goal reached or not] Streak number
Latest iteration is much cleaner and more useful. I see progress is being made. What I like is that the courses shown appear to be some of the courses I have most recently created or modified – and these are the ones I will typically be looking for.
Showing here is the most relevant part to me at this time.
And when you scroll the mouse, the screen isn’t moving up or down? It does so correctly for me. Of course this is a different functionality than using up/down arrow keys.
@PageTurner91 We’ve addressed some of the items you mentioned in your longer post from the start of the week. For example, you should see a progress bar in the courses section.
The other items have been passed on to the rest of the team.
@Alan_R Thanks for noting the missing course level. We’ve gone back and forth on this, but at the moment we’ve removed that indicator. You can rely on the New Word % to estimate the level of difficulty.
I see the new lessons list. This includes every lesson ever created which goes on forever in my case. I prefer to review and work from my personal active playlist. i would prefer to have this at the top of the page.
The layout of lessons as the top is quite unbalanced on a computer - only using up half of the page width . I do prefer the jpegs arranged horizontally like the original page.
I never use ‘For You’ or ‘Review’ so I’d prefer to have these in the side menu. Same for social media links at the top.
I would like to have a single ‘Home’ button that takes us back to the library page rather than opening up the menu with one click and clicking on ‘Library’ with another click.
For me, the Youtube webpage layout would be perfect for LIngQ.
I have seen this issue before with bulk import of a new course. The new course name was supposed to be “Клуб дача 457-“ As seen in the screenshot below, the course name became the name of the audio file — not the name I specified.
It is possible that I failed to hit “enter” after specifying the new course name — and that is an easy mistake to make. My suggestion is:
(1) make sure that if the user has specified a new name, the program does not ignore it if the user fails to hit enter. Give the user a warning before proceeding.
(2) or if the program is truly overriding the new name, make sure that does not happen.
In the end, it was probably user error — but the program is very good to warn the user of unsaved changes at other times. Please do in this instance.
Thanks for giving everyone a place to share feedback. I’ve been testing the new Library design and overall it feels cleaner and easier to use. I especially like having the main options easier to find. I’ll keep an eye out for any bugs and post them here if I notice anything.
