try to understand the real meaning of this phrase because it has a great meaning specially for me

I like Alice Miller´s quotes:

The reason why parents mistreat their children has less to do with character and temperament than with the fact that they were mistreated themselves and were not permitted to defend themselves.

Sadism is not an infectious disease that strikes a person all of a sudden. It has a long prehistory in childhood and always originates in the desperate fantasies of a child who is searching for a way out of a hopeless situation.

It is very difficult for people to believe the simple fact that every persecutor was once a victim. Yet it should be very obvious that someone who was allowed to feel free and strong from childhood does not have the need to humiliate another person.

I just wanted to make a note about the following phrase:
Don’t count your chickens before they hatch
(Farsi) جوجه رو آخر پاییز می شمرن

The literal translation of the Persian text is “baby chicks are counted at the end of autumn”. It is said to someone who seems to be reaching a conclusion too quickly.

Perhaps the English language should drop the use of a capital letter for the names of languages. It does not seem to have any useful function. English no longer puts full stops after letters in abbreviations. N.S.W. has become NSW, U.S.A. has become USA. I don’t think the language has suffered from it.
